Dawn is an exceptional medical writer and manager. She combines strategic ability with energy, dedication,lateral thinking and empathy for what the client needs and the pressures faced by the pharmaceutical community.
After successfully studying for a BSc (Hons) at Leeds University, she went on to complete a PhD at the ICRF Cancer Medicine Research Unit where she gained in-depth knowledge of many aspects of oncology. During this time she mastered a wide range of scientific techniques. Dawn went on to gain valuable experience as a clinical research associate running a number of sites participating in an international Phase III anti-HIV study, before becoming a clinical trials manager at the Medical Research Council in London. Whilst in post she was involved in all aspects of clinical trial design, protocol writing, project management and reporting. For the last nine years Dawn has been involved in medical writing and all aspects of the business, first at various divisions of the KnowledgePoint360 Group and more recently with Renovo in Manchester. Her roles have included being a senior medical writer, account manager, team leader and medical writing manager. She has extensive knowledge across a number of therapy areas including oncology, respiratory, cardiovascular, urology, immunology and dermatology. This is combined with an understanding of all stages of drug development, medical communications and regulatory issues.
Dawn is a great leader and motivator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, more importantly she is fun to have around!
