Tony is a physician with wide experience in general medicine, diabetes, endocrinology and nephrology. As well as working as a locum consultant in the NHS, he is involved in research, medical writing/editing and education, and acts as an advisor on a variety of commercial and government projects. He is a member of the expert careers advisory panel for BMJ Careers, as well as full member of the World Association of Medical Editors and Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
Tony's writing experience includes being Editor of the British Journal of Parenteral Therapy and supplying a regular column for Hospital Doctor. He is a referee for the Lancet, the British Medical Journal and Clinical Nutrition, and a clinical review board member of Clinical Evidence and MedGenMed.
He has, for many years, had a major interest in the use of the internet in medicine and in doctors' education and career development. He is the founder and director of "Creative Careers", the first independent careers consultancy for doctors in the UK. Tony has completed the Corporate and Executive Coaching programme with The Coaching Academy and is an established trainer of pharmaceutical industry personnel in marketing and sales.
