Dan gained his MA from Cambridge University in 1996, specialising in genetics and virology during his final year of study. Dan remained at Cambridge for his PhD, looking at the molecular biology of hereditary skin cancer.
In 2000, Dan joined medical communications agency OCC as a Medical Writer and during 5 years with that company worked extensively in a wide variety of therapy areas including psychiatry, neurology, endocrinology, nephrology, gastroenterology, oncology, orthopaedics and transplantation. Dan's specific experience has included transplant immunosuppresion, rheumatoid arthritis and the diagnostics of atopy disease. As is usual within a global company focussing on medical education and communications, Dan's experience has ranged across the full mix of publications, meetings, tailored educational programmes and new media applications.
